SEKF Squad Storm To Victory

The SEKF Squad stormed to victory at the recent WKU Invitational Karate Championships which were held in Weston-Super-Mare. The Squad managed an impressive three gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

The day started well with both Patchouli Phillips and Alessio Sebis winning bronze medals in their respective kata

category's.

Elliott Lowman was first up in the kumite and took his category by storm showing an array of hand and leg techniques, eventually winning an impressive gold medal. This was followed by Louis Naraine's category which was well contested with some exceptional fighters, however Louis was on top form showing why he is unbeaten over two National competitions, taking gold in style. Zak and Alessio both fought very well winning a few fights each but did not manage medals on this occasion.

Girl power was next with both Patchouli and sister Jasmine fighting very well and both managed to get to the final in the same category, this made my coaching job easy as I could just sit back and enjoy. After a good fight Patchouli took gold with Jasmine settling for silver.

Our seniors Danny and Joe both fought well managing bronze medals in their respective category's. Well done all!

This was a great end to the competition year, I am really looking forward to our Open Squad Session in January to start all over again. 2015 a great year. Well done everyone and thanks to all the parents who have supported our squad.
